Moses Moody

First on our list is the incoming rookie, Moses Moody. It is a tall task for a rookie to come in and be asked to substitute for a future Hall of Famer but it is the role Moody has fallen into in Golden State.

To be clear, no one will be asking Moody to be the fully polished two-way threat that Thompson is. However, we will want to see Moody take steps forward in his development as Klay’s apprentice. Moody has a fantastic physical build and pure 3-point shooting stroke that will naturally draw comparisons to the Splash Bro.

Moody posted 16.5 points per game in Arkansas and found success roaming off-ball as a catch-and-shoot threat. This talent carried over to the Las Vegas Summer League where he shot 37.0 percent from the 3-point line

Much like all rookies, Moody will deal with his own growing pains as he learns the ropes. Still, his effectiveness as a perimeter scorer will shine through at times. And, his incredible wingspan should allow him to be a meaningful defender if he’s engaged.

The Warriors will not rely on Moody as heavily as the next two guys on our list but any contributions the rookie can make will be enormous during the opening stretch of the season.
