Bradley Beal is probably NOT a target for Golden State Warriors

Bradley Beal has long been a potential target for the Golden State Warriors. While it is easy to pick this deal apart for Beal’s inability to defend anyone, we have to admit how incredible a three-guard lineup of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Beal would be.

Beal is the perfect secondary ball-handler the Dubs need to become unguardable. There is no answer for an offense being powered by the likes of Beal and Curry. Over the last two seasons, Beal has averaged over 30 points per game on over 45 percent shooting.

And yet, his shortcomings as a defender will hold this deal from ever gaining traction. There is just no possible way to acquire Beal without giving up too many capable defenders on this roster. Andrew Wiggins would have to be included to match salary — and at least one of Jonathan Kuminga or James Wiseman to satisfy Washington, as well.

At this point, we can kick the can on Beal being traded to the Warriors. For starters, he hasn’t even requested a trade. If he does, the Dubs might inquire about the asking price before likely being turned off by all of the cons that come with Beal’s offensive prowess.
