Overall, the Golden State Warriors had a pretty fantastic offseason. They added two new NBA Draft Lottery picks and signed some quality veterans. Yet, they might regret missing out on these targets.

The Dubs didn’t enter the summer with much wiggle room, to begin with. They had hardly any cap space available to make any major splashes but they made the most of their situation by reeling in multiple veteran minimum contracts in the form of Andre Iguodala, Otto Porter Jr. and Nemanja Bjelica.

The Golden State Warriors had a good offseason but they missed an opportunity to put the icing on the cake by not signing one of these three targets.

I can not overstate the positive impact of Iggy’s return and how useful additional talents such as Porter and Bjelica will prove to be throughout the season. This extra layer of depth gives them a cushion in case of injuries or growing pains that may occur as Golden State introduces multiple new players to the league.

Sadly, with the $5.9 million dollar mid-level exception being unused at this point, it is hard to feel like the Warriors could not have done a tad bit more. One last signing is still on the table, of course, with Paul Milsap emerging as the most likely candidate. However, it is too late to snag one of these three players who could have made a good offseason even better for the Dubs.
