The Golden State Warriors are one of the teams being linked to a potential three-time All-Star guard Ben Simmons trade, but if they were to make such a deal, it would most certainly be on their terms.

Considering Simmons wants nothing to do with Philadelphia, he may not show up when the new season kicks off. That could stir up even more issues for the Sixers, a team led by perennial MVP candidate Joel Embiid.

With the Golden State Warriors potentially in the mix for Ben Simmons, any finalized trade may ultimately look like highway robbery for the Dubs.

Assuming he is traded, there’s no way Simmons holds that pre-draft value. His distaste for the Sixers should drive the price down, and for Golden State, that could be all it takes for a deal to finally get done.

The Warriors have been split on Simmons, but there are also reports that the two sides haven’t actually talked about a trade too much. Regardless, Golden State and Portland are among the top organizations favored to land Simmons.

Simmons was a finalist for Defensive Player of the Year. The 6-foot-11 guard would alleviate pressure on that end of the court. But, given his offensive downside, what’s he actually worth? Here are three deals the Warriors should take with ease.
