Golden State Warriors can target Myles Turner

Myles Turner has been in trade rumors for years now with the Indiana Pacers refraining from ever pulling the trigger. He was once one of their core rebuilding pieces but if they were ever going to move on from Turner — the time would be now.

This isn’t to say Turner hasn’t developed into a quality player. He’s a good shot-blocking center who has successfully expanded his shooting to behind the 3-point line. Turner is a career 35.3 percent 3-point shooter.

However, inconsistencies on offense and lackluster effort at times on defense have caused Turner to reach his ceiling quite early. At 24 years of age, no one is expecting the two-time block leader to make any significant changes to his game. While this might be bad news for the Pacers — it is no big deal for the Golden State Warriors.

Turner is a polished prospect who understands his role as a rim-runner with some floor spacing skills. It would take a combination of Kevon Looney, Otto Porter and Nemanja Bjelica (and some draft capital) to acquire Turner but it could be worth it at the deadline if James Wiseman is not living up to his sophomore expectations.
