Golden State Warriors can pursue Terrence Ross

The Orlando Magic finally took the courageous first steps towards letting go of their previous rebuild by trading Nikola Vucevic and Aaron Gordon to start anew with talented young names like Markelle Fultz, Cole Anthony, R.J. Hampton and Jalen Suggs.

One veteran who is quickly becoming the odd-man-out is Terrence Ross. With so many guards looking to make a name for themselves in Orlando — Ross’ position with the team has become redundant. This makes him an ideal trade target for the Golden State Warriors.

Ross is capable of playing on the wing and can provide the same 3-and-D qualities as Otto Porter. Though, I’d argue Ross is more equipped to contribute to a championship run than Porter.

Last season, Ross averaged 15.6 points on a low 33.7 percent clip from the 3-point line. He has built up a reputation for being a streaky shooter who can heat up in a hurry. This inconsistency comes with a cost but could make Ross a great spark plug on the Dubs’ bench.

The price tag should not be too high for the 30-year-old perimeter player. Do not be surprised if Ross emerges as a target for multiple contending teams this February.
