Golden State Warriors strength: Shooting

The Golden State Warriors should once again be one of the best shooting teams in the NBA. Thompson’s return will certainly help them in that department. He has shot over 40 percent from deep in all eight of his seasons in the league. That’s mightily impressive.

Add him back into the lineup and you increase just how dynamic this team is. It’s more about Curry though. Curry is the greatest shooter in the history of the NBA and has a chance to top Ray Allen for the most three-point field goals in a career this season.

Players like Mychal Mulder, Jordan Poole, and Damion Lee fill out the backcourt and are all lethal from deep, helping improve the team offensively. Defensively, they may struggle as all three are also undersized for being a shooting guard.

Other than those five, the team added serviceable veterans like Porter Jr. and Nemanja Bjelica. Porter Jr. has a career three-point percentage over 40, and Bjelica is also known for his ability to shoot from deep.

Juan Toscano-Anderson, who shot over 40 percent from deep, is another name to keep an eye on. All of those players should help create a lethal offense, one that mimics the Dubs 2017-2018 roster.
