Golden State Warriors strength: Versatile veterans

The Golden State Warriors weren’t able to get a third superstar this offseason. So, what did they turn to — versatile veterans.

Porter Jr. and Bjelica are just a couple of the names they added, but one of the most important may be former Warriors’ forward Andre Iguodala. After spending time in Miami, it’s entirely possible that Iggy ends his career after a Warrior.

With Golden State, he was awarded the 2015 NBA Finals MVP for his work offensively and then defensively on LeBron James. He knows the system and can help create that death lineup once again.

Porter Jr. and Bjelica both have at least five years of experience under their belt, and while the former has struggled to stay on the court, they should all be low-maintenance personalities in the locker room which is a positive.

This team may not be loaded with superstars, but it does have players that can mimic the likes of David West and Leonardo Barbosa, two names that were, at times, associated with the Warriors bench back when they won three titles from 2015-2018.
