Golden State Warriors: 3 Players who should shoot the most 3-pointers
By Tony Pesta
Moses Moody can replicate Klay Thompson for Golden State Warriors
It is a tall task for a rookie to step in and replicate the historic shooting capabilities of Klay Thompson. But, Moses Moody should feel comfortable playing a similar role to that of the Splash Brothers.
Moody has a knack for getting and hitting open shots. He’s good at moving without the ball and has a fluid catch-and-shoot release. This makes him an ideal candidate to take Klay’s spot in the offense early on in the season.
Throughout college, Moody shot 35.8 percent from the 3-point line on just over five attempts per game. He built on this shooting in the Las Vegas Summer League, connecting on 37 percent of roughly seven attempts per game.
The Warriors will not want to overwhelm Moody with too much responsibility. This means focusing on being an off-ball threat who simply knocks down his looks will be the best role for Moody offensively. I’d expect Moody to be an impactful player from the start if he can prove to be a steady shooter.
