Golden State Warriors: 3 Players who should shoot the most 3-pointers
By Tony Pesta
Stephen Curry will lead the Golden State Warriors (Duh?)
Would anyone else top this list? Stephen Curry has led the league multiple times in 3-point shooting and he’s been the team leader in nearly every single season he’s been healthy. There is no one quite like the two-time MVP.
Last season was truly remarkable, even for Curry. He was on pace to break the single-season record for 3-pointers, swishing 337 total deep shots in only 63 games. Absurd. What’s more, he attempted some of the toughest shots in the league with close to a third of his makes coming from either very tight (0-2 feet) or tight (2-4 feet) from his closest defenders, according to NBA.com.
At 2,837 career 3-pointers, Curry is now less than 150 away from the all-time record held by Ray Allen. Barring any major disruptions, Curry can officially begin snowballing a brand new high score as early as the 2022 All-Star break.
Whether it be shooting off the dribble, pulling from catch-and-shoot looks or simply chucking it over a double-team, Curry is going to lead the Warriors in 3-point shooting. And, he’ll probably be one of the most efficient players doing it.
