Golden State Warriors must-sign point guard: Jeff Teague

Jeff Teague is a name that, by now, should be off the board. After being a journeyman these last few seasons following his lengthy stint in Atlanta, Teague could immediately fit in as the quintessential leader for the second unit.

The veteran guard has played for four teams over the last two seasons. At his best, he averaged 16.5 points per game, topping 7 assists per game multiple times throughout his career as well. Teague also has an All-Star appearance to his name.

He saw time in 55 games with Milwaukee a season ago. Starting 7 of those, Teague was oftentimes a solid playmaker off the bench, ending the season with a 6.7 per-game average.

On top of his ability to score, Teague has proven to be a capable three-point threat, shooting 36 percent from deep on his career. He neared 44 percent from deep last season, showing his continued improvement from downtown.

Both the Bucks and Celtics were better than their opponent with Teague on the court, and there’s hope the Warriors would be as well.
