Golden State Warriors: Jordan Poole has arrived

He might be an afterthought to most when looking at the Golden State Warriors’ vast collection of youthful talent — but Jordan Poole has done more to establish himself as a centerpiece of the future than anybody else.

Poole weathered the storm of a brutal rookie year and shaky sophomore stint. His resilience led him to become one of the most important members of the roster last season as he grew into his role as a spark plug scorer.

The 22-year-old is a microwave in every sense of the word. He can heat up in a hurry and has a deep bag of tricks, such as navigating around off-ball screens for open 3-pointers or taking opponents off the dribble.

Poole is the most polished prospect on the Dubs’ roster but he lacks the high-end potential as the others. There is still room for Poole to develop as a playmaker but he likely maxes out as a pure-scorer who can lead the second unit charge. All in all, Poole is a great asset to have moving forward.
