The Golden State Warriors made a handful of decent moves this offseason, but they really didn’t have anything that was outright over the top or risky. Jonathan Kuminga is a risk, but he was clearly the best option at No. 7.

The biggest risk the Warriors have to navigate now is with injuries. They added players like Otto Porter Jr. and Andre Iguodala, both of which haven’t played a ton of basketball over the past two seasons.

The Golden State Warriors had a reasonably successful free agency, but they still have a few issues that must be addressed prior to the season’s start.

In order to have a contending roster, they’ll need to fix a couple of glaring issues. Undoubtedly, they’ll pass on stars like point guard Ben Simmons who would cost several picks along with a player like Kuminga.

As the season inches closer, more stars may come available, but it’s Simmons who is stealing the show as the main All-Star-caliber player on the table. Golden State won’t overpay for Simmons despite him being among the league’s best defenders.

Unless they add a player in free agency, they’ll enter the new season with their current roster plus potentially a two-way contracted player as well. As the year progresses, they’ll want to fix these issues though.

That said, let’s break down what those obvious needs they must still figure out are.
