Golden State Warriors should not underestimate the Utah Jazz

The Utah Jazz have been a consistently strong team for the last few seasons. But, this has not stopped them from becoming a laughingstock on social media — and it did not help to see Rudy Gobert get played off of the floor against the LA Clippers.

Yes, for whatever reason, the internet loves to hate the Jazz. While they certainly do have shortcomings such as Gobert’s glaring weakness on the perimeter and a lack of overall star power — the Jazz should not be underestimated by anybody.

The Golden State Warriors have a clear advantage over Utah with the likes of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green leading their charge. Still, the Jazz have shot the 3-pointer better than most of the league recently and can go toe-to-toe with the Dubs’ in this regard.

The Jazz are a lock for the playoffs and will pose a serious threat to the Warriors if they make the postseason, as well. Finding a way to contain Donovan Mitchell (26.4 points per game) will be key. However, limiting role players like Joe Ingles and Bojan Bogdanovich will be a challenge, too. What’s more, Jordan Clarkson can provide a boost of bench scoring that the Dubs currently can not match.

A potential series between these two squads would be a fun one, for sure.
