Ben Simmons to Golden State Warriors trade No. 3

While the starting point for conversations may be Jonathan Kuminga, the one thing that should be for certain is that Philadelphia has no means trading for James Wiseman. Kuminga makes sense but so does Jordan Poole.

Poole and Wiggins both improved their play last season. Both hit career-high percentages from the field and from deep.

Poole is set to explode onto the scene this season, and the hope should be that he hits at least 15 points per game on 42 percent shooting. The trajectory he’s on and the improvement he’s shown only back up those numbers.

Poole clearly has the higher upside, especially as his pairing with Tyrese Maxey could create a dynamic scoring bench. Wiggins could slot in alongside Tobias Harris at the three.

The former No. 1 overall pick has scored 20 or more points in three of his seven seasons. He’s also shown drastic improvement as a defender, enough so that Golden State’s fanbase may miss seeing him on the court.

While this likely wouldn’t be enough, attach two picks onto the end, and the Sixers may not get a better offer. However, the starting point should still be considered one of the Warriors’ two stud prospects.
