Ben Simmons to Golden State Warriors trade No. 1

The Golden State Warriors are going to be fine offensively for the foreseeable future. With Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson on the roster, there’s going to be no doubt if they can hang with other high-octane offenses.

The question is really going to be if they can defend, and this trade would make them among the most talented defensive teams in the NBA. Thybulle is already one of the best on-ball defenders but doesn’t play enough to get much recognition.

As for the Warriors, this is among the ways they could give up Kuminga. If Kuminga is the starting point and Wiggins has to be tied to any deal, then the Warriors should advantage and get a player like Thybulle or Tyrese Maxey.

The Warriors would have to attach more assets in terms of draft capital, but with Curry locked up for the next five seasons, those picks wouldn’t have high value in the first round. That said, this is a deal each side should highly consider.

Of the three, the third makes the most sense, but the concept of dealing Wiseman to a third team is also intriguing. Regardless, I’d expect Ben Simmons to part ways with the Sixers before the start of the regular season.
