Golden State Warriors preseason trade target: Bradley Beal

Even before the season starts, there should be players that start to understand their current situation. Bradley Beal is one of them.

If staying in Washington isn’t the most important thing to him, there’s no reason he can’t request a trade. That’s the only way the Wizards are going to trade him as Beal is one of the best five scorers in the NBA, second to only Stephen Curry in scoring a season ago.

Beal would cost just about every asset the Warriors have. It’d be both Kuminga and Wiseman coupled with picks to even start as Beal is just 28 years old and instantly makes the Warriors the best team in the NBA.

Last season, Beal averaged a career-high 31.3 points per game. With Russell Westbrook no longer on his team, Beal should be this season’s scoring leader, especially if Washington has any postseason aspirations.

Beal has another season on his contract. If he can find a home in Golden State and they can trade Andrew Wiggins in the deal to make the money work, then the Warriors should certainly make it happen.

However, a star like that rarely becomes available for trade, so it’s relatively unlikely Washington has any plan to trade him even if things take a turn for the worst this season.
