Sadly, the Golden State Warriors missed the playoffs last season.

While they did manage to finish as a top-8 team in the Western Conference, they struggled in the play-in tournament, losing to the Los Angeles Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies in back-to-back games.

The Golden State Warriors are hoping to compete for a playoff spot, but they’ll need big-time performances from these four players that may take a step back.

After a thrilling last few seasons trying to manage that top-two seed in the play-in tournament in order to not get a one-loss exit, the Warriors season ended in heartbreak. Now, they’ve retooled a bit, adding Andre Iguodala and Otto Porter Jr. among other additions.

They also drafted forward Jonathan Kuminga and shooting guard Moses Moody. Overall, it was a successful offseason for the Warriors, and they should be able to compete for a title. However, quite a few things must go right for them.

Stephen Curry playing at an MVP level and Klay Thompson returning at an All-Star level are a few of them. It won’t be easy for them, and with the new season set to kick off next month, let’s dive into four players whose relapse could make it much more difficult.
