Golden State Warriors player that can step up: Andre Iguodala

The Golden State Warriors signed Andre Iguodala this offseason. Iguodala has helped the Warriors win multiple titles and was even the 2015 NBA Finals MVP, winning the controversial award over Stephen Curry.

Iggy plays well with Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green. That’s a factor that shouldn’t go unnoted. He understands how to get Curry the ball and also understands when he needs to shoot, not hesitating to shoot from deep.

Iggy isn’t the same caliber of shooter that JTA or Porter have proven to be. The former All-Star forward averaged just 4.4 points per game with Miami last season. However, his last season in Golden State, he notched just 5.7 per game.

It’s not about his scoring but how he impacts the game. Defensively, he’ll be able to step up as Wiggins did last season. Offensively, he’s no Wiggins, but he’ll almost always make the right decision.

He’s a veteran that Kerr can count on, and during these games, they’ll need a player like that.
