James Wiseman and Klay Thompson need to be healthy

Health is the biggest concern on everyone’s mind. All 30 NBA teams will be praying for good fortune in this regard as the season begins.

The Golden State Warriors are all too familiar with injuries as of late. The injury bug has plagued their last two seasons and the effects still have the franchise reeling heading into their opener against Los Angeles.

It is safe to assume neither James Wiseman or Klay Thompson will be available for the start of the season. While Wiseman could be back within just a few weeks — Thompson is likely gone until Christmas, at the earliest.

This sets the team back without two of their most important players for the first portion of the year. Even when Wiseman returns, we can expect a slow process for getting back into shape and overcoming his rookie struggles. Nonetheless, Wiseman will not have a chance to redeem himself if he can not remain healthy.

The same goes for Thompson. Everyone is confident the former star will pick up where he left off as the best sidekick in the NBA but this will only be possible if he makes a full recovery from his injury.

The biggest roadblock the Warriors face this season is health. Without a bit of good luck, their chances of competing are zero.
