Golden State Warriors storylines: Will Andrew Wiggins get vaccinated?
It’s Andrew Wiggins’ decision whether or not he wants to get the Covid-19 vaccination, but at the end of the day, the city of San Francisco is not going to let him play in Golden State Warriors’ home games without it.
While some may view that as unfair since opponents can come in and play without it, the rules have been laid out in front of him, and it’s either get the shot or lose out on $15 million.
Now, his views may be more important to him than money, but his decision will be something all fans must closely follow. The Warriors kick off their season on October 19, playing the Los Angeles Lakers.
With that at Staples, he could play, but just two days later, he would miss their home opener against the Clippers. Wiggins was the team’s second-leading scorer, and to even have a chance at the Finals, they’ll need him at all times, even if Klay Thompson comes back at near-full strength.
There’s no telling what he will do, but for now, it seems like they should be preparing for life without the former No. 1 overall pick.
