It could be an interesting next few months for the Golden State Warriors.

The more we inch closer to the home opener, the more it feels unlikely Andrew Wiggins will be playing in it. Wiggins, or any other unvaccinated Golden State Warrior, cannot participate or be at a sizable indoor event in San Francisco.

The Golden State Warriors, from everything that’s been said, should be scared Andrew Wiggins will miss all 41 home games. Should they trade him?

Other cities, most notable New York City, have this mandate in place as well, and although many players side with Wiggins ability to decide for himself, his current stance is certainly going to cost the Warriors.

It almost makes him a liability, having a max-contract player for only half of the season. They’ll be losing out on any advantage a raucous Chase Center could bring them.

Wiggins neared 20 points per game last season and averaged a career-high percentage from both the field and from deep. It was arguably his best season in the NBA, finally finding his footing in a good system.

If he can’t play in those 41 games, the Warriors should trade him to a place he can play the entirety of the season. That said, let’s dive into three panic trades the Warriors could make and who they should target if they opt to trade the former No. 1 overall pick.
