Golden State Warriors panic target: Ben Simmons

Every NBA fan is patiently waiting to see where Ben Simmons is going to go, and there’s no better win-win trade than for him to join the Warriors. Simmons should be hoping for a trade to a team like Golden State.

The Warriors averaged the most assists in the NBA last season. They get out and move in transition, where Simmons thrives. He’d also be able to use his playmaking ability alongside two of the best shooters in NBA history.

The problem is his value. If Daryl Morey, the president of basketball operations in Philly, is going to stick by that absurd price of four first-round picks, he’s not going to get anywhere.

Jonathan Kuminga and Wiggins should be at least a good starting point for the three-time All-Star guard. Simmons is aided by his defensive aptitude. Having Simmons and Green control the defense and Curry offensively is a recipe for success.

Simmons is a versatile, pass-first guard, and that got him critique from the team’s fanbase during the postseason last year. He’s still a star, and he’s one Golden State should be willing to make a compelling package for.
