Golden State Warriors free agent target: Jeff Teague

Ultimately, the Golden State Warriors need a point guard. Last offseason, they also made finding a point guard a priority and settled with Celtics veteran Brad Wanamaker. That experiment was short-lived as he didn’t make it past the trade deadline.

Poole or Nico Mannion, who is now playing overseas, took most of the minutes behind Curry. However, Curry, during that last few-month stretch, played so much the team typically only had to fill 10 minutes of action.

Teague most recently played for the championship-winning Milwaukee Bucks, but he’s still a free agent.

He shot 44 percent from deep. Averaging 6.7 points per game, Teague isn’t a quality scoring option like he once was, but he has a high basketball IQ and, as shown with the Bucks, can adapt to his role within the team.

Teague, given the young rookies that the Warriors may have on the second unit, could use a player that’s been in the league for a decade. If there were a perfect addition, it would be Teague, and it’s absolutely wild he hasn’t inked a deal yet.
