Entering his first NBA season, Moses Moody has an advantage over the rest of his peers as his prior experience on loaded teams will allow him to be an instant contributor for the Golden State Warriors.

Moses Moody is no stranger to playing with other superstars. His selflessness will help him find success early on with the Golden State Warriors.

Playing alongside the likes of Cade Cunningham, Scottie Barnes and Precious Achiuwa in high school, Moody already understands how to fill in a specific role and coexist along with other big names.

This skill will bode well for Moody as he enters a stacked backcourt of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole. The rookie will have to find a way to be impactful without having the ball in his hands too much — and this does not seem like a problem for Moody.

In a story for the San Francisco Chronicle, Connor Letourneau details how Moody’s time in high school helped him develop leadership skills that will translate to the NBA level. His commitment to doing whatever will help the team made him a standout prospect even with more talented players on the roster.

Moody takes pride in being a glue guy. The type of player who brings everyone together and, as he put it, “make great players even better.” Golden State is looking to build a brand new championship-caliber roster and Moody has no issue being just another piece to the puzzle.

This is a fantastic mentality for such a young prospect to have. Especially considering the circumstances in which he will begin his career. The Warriors do not need Moody to be a superhero — they just need him to fulfill his role.

This means properly spacing the floor and seeking open jump shots while also being a menace on the defensive end is key for Moody. He’s always been a fluent shooter from deep and his seven-foot wingspan will give him the versatility to defend in a multitude of ways.

It would make sense that Moody does everything he can to soak up information from Curry and Thompson. With his volume 3-point shooting and physical build, Moody can one day attempt to replicate the two-way presence of Thompson.

Nevertheless, Moody’s willingness to be the unsung hero is going to make him an instant fit with the Warriors. This ‘Strength in Numbers’ mentality has been their bread and butter throughout three championship runs and it appears they just added another weapon to their arsenal in Moody.
