Jordan Poole has arrived

We all knew it was coming. Jordan Poole has been previewing his talents for the last two years but nobody expected him to take such an enormous leap from day one in the preseason.

Poole has been a human blowtorch in his first three games, bombing away from deep behind the 3-point line en route to a 30 point performance in game one against the Portland Trail Blazers and ranking as the NBA’s second-highest scorer in the preseason at 70 total points in three games.

He is showing shades of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson in the way Poole has been able to navigate through screens for catch-and-shoot opportunities as well as dance around defenders for nifty finishes at the rim and impressive step-back 3-pointers.

Poole has not always been the most consistent player — which means we should be hesitant to anoint him the third splash brother so soon. Yet, he is off to one hell of a start and his devotion to getting better has us feeling confident Poole is here to stay as a spark plug for the Dubs moving forward.
