Is Jordan Poole legit?

Nothing has been more exciting to start the season than the all-around performances of Jordan Poole. He is making good on all of the preseason predictions which had him as one of the top candidates to win Most Improved.

Poole has been shooting from all over the place. He has no problem jacking up shots five feet behind the 3-point line and has danced on a few defenders for fancy step-back bombs. His supreme footwork matched with a quick-draw from deep has made Poole an offensive weapon for Golden State.

What’s more, he is punishing opponents for overloading onto him. He is a much-improved passer and has become the secondary scorer the Warriors need to pair along with Stephen Curry. There is no doubt he will start next to the two-time MVP this season.

Yet, the question remains — how consistent will Poole be? He has never managed to string more than a few weeks of good games together for prolonged success. Proving he is a legit threat to score each night is the next step for Poole.
