They can keep hitting 3-pointers at a high rate

One of the biggest takeaways from the preseason was Golden State’s absurd ability to shoot the 3-pointer. Even without Klay Thompson in the lineup, the Warriors are taking and making more deep shots than any other team in the league.

As of now, the Warriors are making 19.0 3-pointers a game and attempting 55 of them. For comparison, the Houston Rockets set the NBA record at  45.3 attempts per game in 2019. The Utah Jazz hold the record for most 3-pointers made per game with 16.7 last season.

This puts the Warriors firmly ahead of both record paces and it is a trend we could see continue into the regular season. With so many selfless players who are quickly learning how to play alongside one another — the Dubs are generating quality 3-point shots at an absurd rate.

Even if they do not continue launching over 50 attempts each night, we should expect the Warriors to rank near the top of the league in 3-pointers. Especially with Stephen Curry on the roster, who is expected to become the all-time leader in 3-pointers made sometime this season.
