Warriors opening prediction: Stephen Curry drops 40 plus

Where last year started is where this year is going to pick up. If the Warriors truly have title expectations, it’s going to be on the back of two-time MVP Stephen Curry.

Even with Poole stepping up, unless Wiggins continues his career-high shooting, they’ll need dynamic performances from Curry. Against Russell Westbrook, a matchup Curry knows well, he should be able to thrive.

Curry averaged over 30 points per game for just the second time in his historic career last season. He was the league’s scoring leader. Looking just as strong in the preseason, Curry should be able to have his way.

In the first game of the season, Curry going off just feels right. Last year, the Warriors drew the Nets, and Curry struggled in a game that never felt that close. This time around, the Warriors should have a chance and Curry should be dialed in.
