Buddy Hield could fit with Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors began the preseason by shooting 3-pointers at a historic rate. Since then, they’ve slowed down considerably, falling from close to 60 attempts per game to just 70 total across their first two regular-season games.

They are still shooting an efficient 41.4 percent, making them the seventh-best shooting team in the league right now. This is because of the constant ball movement that is generating quality looks at an absurd rate.

Right now, names like Stephen Curry, Jordan Poole, Andrew Wiggins and Nemanja Bjelica are leading the charge for Golden State in terms of shooting. Eventually, Klay Thompson will bolster them even more.

But, what if Buddy Hiled finally emerges as a possible trade target? The Sacramento Kings’ sharpshooter would be a perfect fit in Golden State and the Dubs have enough assets to target him. Last season, Hield averaged 20.5 points on a scorching 45.1 percent clip from deep.

Hield currently makes $22 million a year, meaning the Dubs would have to lose Wiggins in order to acquire him. This pushes the likelihood of Golden State acquiring Hield out of the realm of reality — yet it is important to monitor his situation in Sacramento as he could be land on  an important competitor such as the Los Angeles Lakers.
