Domantas Sabonis upgrades Golden State Warriors frontcourt

Domantas Sabonis has quickly emerged as a bonafide All-Star over his last few successful seasons with the Indiana Pacers. His knack for spacing the floor, providing consistent scoring in the paint and being able to pass out of the post makes him a dream-like fit in Golden State.

Sabonis is averaging 19.4 points, 12.2 rebounds and 5.8 assists over the last two seasons and opened the 2021-22 NBA season with a monstrous 33 points and 15 rebounds over the Charlotte Hornets.

Shifting back to the Warriors, it has been quite a while since a big man posted 30 points and 15 rebounds for the Dubs. This type of productivity in the paint could be a game-changer, especially when considering how limited the frontcourt is with only Kevon Looney and James Wiseman acting as true centers.

It is important to note that Sabonis is more comfortable at the four spot and he has shared the frontcourt with a prolific shot-blocking center in Myles Turner. However, Sabonis could thrive with the Dubs by playing the same role as Nemanja Bjelica — only even better.
