Golden State Warriors vs. Sacramento Kings: Two Key Stats

1. Warriors fourth quarters

The Dubs are now +24 in fourth quarters through the first three games of the season, helping to consolidate victory in the three hard fought contests. It bodes well for multiple reasons.

Firstly, it displays that the over reliance on Curry should be a thing of the past, given the early quarter runs have been without him on the floor.

Secondly, the Warriors ability to overrun their opponents is a big tick for the fitness and medical staff. Thirdly, and perhaps most importantly, it displays that the team have rose to the pressure, outperforming opponents in the ‘clutch’ situations.

2. Up and down turnover rate

After I spoke about turnovers nearly killing their chances of victory against the Clippers, the Warriors were on the positive end of the turnover battle against the Kings.

After 21 against Los Angeles on Thursday, the Warriors had just six compared to Sacramento’s 19. It meant they won the points off turnover battle 29-9, while also taking 11 more field goal attempts overall.
