Golden State Warriors vs. Oklahoma City Thunder: Key Stats

1. Another strong second half showing

Incredibly, the Warriors have trailed at half time in each of their four victories.

Their +19 point differential in the second half against the Thunder now takes their overall second half differential to +49. It’s hard to put a finger on their slow starts but it’s starting to become a trend throughout the short season so far.

Similar to their previous game against the Kings, Stephen Curry held the Warriors together with 16 first half points. However, he went scoreless in the final quarter for the second straight game, owing to the greater contributions the Warriors have from all over the floor.

2. Damion Lee’s superb start to the season

Whilst a number of role players have had their bright moments in specific matchups, Lee has been a constant for Steve Kerr through all four games. His season-high 20 points capped off a start that’s seen him score in double figures through all four games.

He’s now averaging 14.7 points per game this season, shooting 48 percent from the field and 47 percent from 3-point range.

It’s the kind of contribution that’s invaluable out of the guard spot whilst Klay Thompson recovers from injury, also demonstrating how much the Warriors missed him in the play-in tournament last season.
