Klay Thompson’s Resume

For starters let’s just have a glance at Thompson’s resume. Thompson is a five-time All-Star, has two All-NBA selections and has made an All-Defensive team.

Most importantly, Thompson is also a three-time NBA Champion. A key member of probably the most dominant basketball team we’ve seen since the Michael Jordan led Chicago Bulls. A team so dominant, that for three years all you could read on Twitter was Kevin Durant slander and fans longing for ‘parity in the NBA.

Thompson wasn’t just a footnote in the dynasty either. He didn’t ride the bench and stumble his way into three rings like Patrick McCaw – he was an integral part of it. No Klay likely means no championships.

Thompson individually has also left a sizeable imprint on NBA history. Thompson holds the NBA record for most threes in a game with 14, which he amassed in three quarters. Something else Thompson did in three quarters was score 60 points – also an NBA record for most points scored in under 30 minutes. To top it off though, Thompson also holds the record of most points ever scored in an NBA quarter – an absurd 37 points on perfect 13 for 13 shooting from the field.

A career-high for some is a twelve-minute heat-check on a random January night for Thompson. A ridiculous performance, almost as ridiculous as his omission from this list.
