Why Klay Thompson is absolutely a Top 75 player ever
Perspective is everything
And at the end of the day, it’s not that serious. Even his teammates tried to see the lighter side of things. Draymond and Steph gifted Thompson with a #77 jersey in honor of his snub from the top 75 players list.

Those that have watched Thompson play basketball know exactly what he means to the league. A case of out of sight and out of mind perhaps – Thompson hasn’t stepped foot on an NBA court since June 2019. A lot has happened since then and the mind can forget.
To sum it up in case you did – Thompson is amongst the best two-way players we’ve seen in the modern era. A defensive nightmare for opposing guards and a deadeye sniper if afforded the slightest bit of daylight.
He’s also cemented on the very short list of greatest humans to ever shoot a basketball. Top five all-time if we’re being politically correct and paying respect to our elders – but I’d go as far as to say he’s the second greatest shooter ever.
Thompson had left his mark on NBA history even before two devastating injuries struck him down in the middle of his prime. His body of work in eight seasons is without a doubt amongst the 75 greatest to ever grace the League.
Nevertheless, in December Thompson will make his long-awaited return to basketball. With the Warriors seemingly a contender again – there’s perhaps a chance to silence a few doubters. Like Thompson said in his Instagram post – more fuel to the fire.
