The Golden State Warriors are sitting atop the Western Conference. The Utah Jazz and Warriors are the only two one-loss teams remaining in the West. That said, at full strength, this team is going to have to slim down who gets minutes.
Head coach Steve Kerr is going to have a tough time as this team is deep and has talent all over the court. However, it’ll get even more difficult when deciding who is going to crack the eight-man playoff rotation.
The Golden State Warriors have several players returning to action in the near future, and Steve Kerr may have to narrow down the team’s rotation.
Nonetheless, we aren’t quite there yet. Right now, the Warriors have around a 10 to 12-man rotation. Golden State has played like guard Gary Payton II getting minutes that certainly won’t be later in the season.
Sitting at 5-1, the Warriors have done a great job at finding a way to hold victories without two-time MVP Stephen Curry on the court. That’s been a huge part of the season for them. Looking at how to best fill out the rotation is an ever-changing task for Kerr.
That said, when this team gets to full strength, with James Wiseman and Klay Thompson eventually returning, several Warriors may see fewer minutes. Let’s dive into who may lose (or never get) a rotational spot this season.
