With the Golden State Warriors having surged to the top of the Western Conference to start the season, there are easily a few players not named two-time MVP Stephen Curry that have proven they belong on a title-contending team.

After winning just 15 games two seasons ago and then missing the playoffs due to a second straight play-in tournament loss, the Warriors are looking to rebound in a big way. They have the roster to do just that.

The Golden State Warriors are 5-1, and without a game till Wednesday night, let’s dive into which players have shattered early-season expectations.

While they aren’t expecting much from their two lottery picks, the Warriors brought in Otto Porter Jr., Nemanja Bjelica, and Andre Iguodala. All have made an impact for Golden State through six games.

On top of those three stepping up, the Warriors have yet to see James Wiseman or Klay Thompson play. With Wiseman expecting to be back soon and Thompson more near the new calendar year, the Warriors will, in the next few months, be at full strength.

That said, when we get to that point, decisions will be made regarding the rotation. With that in mind, let’s dive into three players, a couple of which have a solidified role in the rotation, that have blown away preseason expectations.
