Golden State Warriors star trade target: Myles Turner

The Indiana Pacers have a talented roster. But, still, a bottom team in the Eastern Conference, if they can’t figure it out and start putting together wins in the near future, trading Myles Turner could set them up well for the future.

Turner is among the best rim protectors in the NBA. On top of having led the league in blocks twice, Turner is also a solid three-point shooter.

He’s more of a defensive-minded player than Wood, but on a team with Curry and hopefully a full-strength Thompson, getting that defense should almost be more important. Turner is shooting a league-high 74 percent from two-point range.

He’s shooting a career-high 54 percent from the field which is impressive considering he’s also averaging 1.4 triples per game. It’s been a good season, and when Turner has playmakers (used to be Victor Oladipo for Indiana) around him he’s been far better.

The Warriors could use hit shooting and playmaking to their fullest potential.

His value should be just equal to that of Wiggins and a couple of picks as the Warriors may get Turner for the rest of the year then one more season as he’ll be a free agent in the 2023 offseason.
