Flaw the Golden State Warriors must mend: Opponent’s Turnovers

Let’s keep talking about turnovers, shall we?

Well, while we got into the Warriors for their turnovers, the Dubs also have some trouble creating turnovers. While they do have the league’s best defensive rating which shows their elite defense, they haven’t been overly great at causing turnovers for their opponent.

The Warriors rank 13th in opponent’s turnovers, forcing around 15.4 per game, so they’re not doing a bad job at enforcing their will on other teams.

Ranking in the middle of the pack in opponent’s turnover percentage as well, the Warriors aren’t at the bottom or top of the league, and with a defense as elite as theirs, it should be higher.

It’s a nit-picking suggestions to make, but the Warriors will rarely win when they have three times the turnovers as their opponent like they did against the Clippers. That’s certainly as aspect that must be worked on, and they go hand-in-hand with each other.

The Warriors have a few masterclass defenders in Green and former NBA Finals MVP Andrew Iguodala and should be causing more turnovers than they do.
