Golden State Warriors have No. 1 Net Rating

Yep, with the best Defensive Rating and a top-10 Offensive Rating, it should be no surprise the Golden State Warriors are playing the best basketball right now. The Warriors hold a 7-1 record, the best in the NBA.

We have already touched on their Strength in Numbers mentality that has led to the breakout of multiple players. This cushion of depth has allowed the Warriors to compete even when Stephen Curry is cold and will make them incredibly tough to beat when he is hot.

Their potent ball movement and cohesive defense have made Golden State a contender once again. When you put it all together, there is no reason they can’t compete for a title. With incoming reinforcements in the shape of James Wiseman and Klay Thompson, this squad could get even better on both ends of the floor.

We have to hold off on being too optimistic but Thompson could push this team well over the top if he is close to his former self. A jolt of 3-and-D electricity would allow the Dubs to shock the NBA. Not to mention, it would slide Jordan Poole to the bench where he can contend for Sixth Man of the Year.

Then, there is the great x-factor in Wiseman. The value of a true rim-runner would make this team strong in all facets of the game. Having Wiseman protect the rim and score easy points in the paint would be invaluable to Golden State.
