Potential buyout target Warriors should eye: Kelly Olynyk

A likely buyout target a player the Warriors need to eye is Kelly Olynyk. Olynyk make his name known league-wide during his time with the Boston Celtics. He’s since been with the Rockets, Heat and now Pistons.

After this season, Olynyk will still have around $25 million on his contract which makes it relatively unlikely he’s bought out, but it’s certainly possible. The Pistons are led by Cade Cunningham, Jerami Grant and Killian Hayes.

Olynyk is averaging 12.4 points per game, shooting 46 percent from the field. He’s also drilling 1.2 threes per game. He’s shooting 46 percent from the field and just over 31 percent from downtown.

A competent defender, Olynyk has just about everything the Warriors could want in backup big man. He’s more versatile than Theis as well and has played in big-time moments with the Celtics, having that experience that should aid his impact on the postseason.

That said, all three would be solid options, especially if the Warriors sustain any injuries throughout the season.
