Nov. 16 at Brooklyn Nets

Any time you have to gameplan for Kevin Durant is a tough one. Perhaps the greatest scorer the game of basketball has ever seen, playing perhaps the best basketball of his career, Durant is going to put Golden State’s No. 1 defense to the test.

Durant is averaging 29.5 points on nearly 60 percent shooting. He has seemingly gotten better since tearing his Achilles — an encouraging sign for Klay Thompson’s recovery. However, not as encouraging for the Dubs in the short-term as they are barreling straight into an inferno in Brooklyn.

There is no doubt the Nets will be one of the favorites to win the title if they remain healthy. Even without Kyrie Irving, this team is loaded with talent. Slowing James Harden, Patty Mills, Joe Harris and Blake Griffin will be the key.

Notably, Harden is having a horrific start to the season. He is scoring only 18.3 points, the fewest since his Sixth Man days in OKC. Even so, Harden is a scoring-bomb waiting to detonate. The Dubs will have to tread carefully against a high-powered offensive team like Brooklyn.
