Popular trade target the Warriors should avoid: Bradley Beal

Last on our list is Bradley Beal. Who doesn’t want Bradley Beal? That said, while the Wizards are playing solid basketball and recently defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers on a Kyle Kuzma buzzer-beating, they shouldn’t be considered real contenders.

Unsurprisingly, Beal is again leading the Wizards, and he’s a major reason they’ve above .500. Beal is averaging just 25.4 points per game and is shooting under 26 percent from deep.

This, as with Damian Lillard, hasn’t been a great start to the season. Beal’s stock hasn’t dropped one bit though, and he would still be far too pricey, the main reason Golden State should stay far away from the superstar guard.

On top of that, the Warriors have a top-five offensive rating.

There was a concern coming into the season that Golden State wouldn’t be able to score effectively, but they’ve proven the opposite. The price of Beal would be at least multiple first-round picks, Wiggins and then also James Wiseman or Jonathan Kuminga.

At that point, it just isn’t worth it, especially since they don’t know what level Thompson will return at. If he’s that second elite scoring threat, trading for Beal wouldn’t even be close to worth the price he would cost.
