Golden State Warriors player that deserves more minutes: Otto Porter Jr.

If there’s one player that continues to make timely plays for the Golden State Warriors, it’s Otto Porter Jr.

Formerly a top-five pick, Porter Jr. never really was able to use his frame and skill to become a true star at the highest level. However, he’s starting to find his role, and he’s doing everything the Warriors as asking of him. The 6-foot-8 forward is averaging 7.3 points per game.

While that’s not great compared to his previous seasons, Porter Jr. is shooting over 48 percent from three. Coming into the season, it was known that he could shoot, but he’s taken that to the next level.

Along with securing some big-time rebounds, Porter Jr. has cemented himself as a key part of the rotation. Despite his shooting, Porter Jr. is averaging just the 7th most minutes per game, behind four starters, Damion Lee and Andre Iguodala.

He’s at 17 per game, and it’d be nice to see Porter Jr. topping 20 minutes per game eventually.
