Andrew Wiggins’ hot streak

Last week, the Golden State Warriors took a victory lap on their decision to trade for Andrew Wiggins as he detonated for multiple highlight plays against his former team.

The former No. 1 overall pick scored 35 points on 14-of-19 shooting in a game that included poster dunks and a dagger 3-pointer to finish off the Minnesota Timberwolves. Though he cooled off a bit in his game against Chicago, Wiggins again shot an efficient 12-of-19 versus Charlotte for 28 points in a loss.

Wiggins has been finding his rhythm as of late and making the most out of Golden State’s motion offense. His dashes to the hoop are allowing him to put his athleticism on full display. Meanwhile, he has shot the ball well from deep in two of his last three games. On the season, Wiggins has been below average at 33.8 percent from the 3-point line.

As always, he has been a strong perimeter presence on defense. Wiggins racked up four steals and a block during this mini-stretch.

Calling this a “hot streak” might be too kind but it is evident Wiggins has been playing with a little more bounce in his step recently. Hopefully, he continues trending upwards against Brooklyn.
