Two things Golden State Warriors learned

1. The Warriors are legit!

If anyone was dismissing the Warriors as title contenders due to an easy schedule, that argument has practically disappeared. A big win on the road, against Durant, Harden and the Nets? It doesn’t come much more impressive than that.

The Dubs could easily consider themselves the best team in basketball, but as Curry has said, championships aren’t won in November.

2. Curry consolidates MVP favoritism

On top of the team matchup, fans were enthralled to see the individual battle between the two likely leaders in the MVP race. Durant quietened after an explosive first quarter, with Curry dominating throughout despite the foul trouble.

Incredibly, Curry received MVP chants from the Barclay’s crowd, one that almost seemed to give the Warriors the home court advantage rather than the Nets.

The Warriors have moved to 12-2 on the season, now headed to Cleveland to take on the Cavaliers on Thursday.
