Andrew Wiggins is polishing his craft

Over the last few years, Andrew Wiggins has transformed from an uninspired, sometimes considered “lazy”, waste of potential into one of the most active and productive members of the best team in the NBA.

It is wild to think how much a change of scenery has changed Wiggins’ reputation. Though he might not be an alpha dog who will dominate each game — Wiggins has managed to leave his imprint on most of the Warriors’ wins this season.

He is once again near the top of the league in shot contests and frequently accepts the challenge of defending the opposing team’s best player. His athleticism gives him the ability to defend drastically different offensive threats and he has become a swiss army knife for the Dubs.

His scoring might be down slightly due to an early shooting slump but Wiggins is still averaging 18+ points per game on the best field goal percentage of his career. Wiggins is playing a role much more comfortable for him as a tertiary scorer next to Jordan Poole and Stephen Curry.

This is the most polished version of Wiggins we have ever seen. He is playing sound defense each night and rising to the occasion on offense. Most of all, he is playing winning basketball for the first time.
