Two things we learned

1. Win encapsulates new-look Warriors

If someone asked why the Warriors were 15-2 this season, you’d probably show them this game as the prime example. Big games from Curry were a staple of last season, often single-handedly leading the Warriors to victory. Although we’ve seen that at times again this season, this kind of performance is even more impressive.

Curry making just two field goals in a Warrior double-digit win? That’s the stuff of fairytales last season, yet as this game proved, it’s more than feasible this season given the depth of talent on the roster.

2. Otto Porter Jr. finds some form

Given the aforementioned depth of talent, it’s easy to forget the importance of the Warriors’ value pickup from the offseason. The 28-year-old had been struggling of late, missing a couple of games through rest and making just one of his last 11 three-point attempts.

He returned to the kind of form that had fans proclaiming him as a steal of the off-season, knocking down an equal season-high five threes on his way to 15 points. As the season progresses and eventually into the playoffs, his ability to stretch the floor and knock down shots will become even more important.

The Warriors now have a couple of days off before hosting the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday.
