The second-half onslaught
Philly weren’t about to wilt too quickly however, another incredible buzzer-beating three, this time from Shake Milton, giving the 76ers some momentum down just two with 12 minutes to play. But after the game was tied at 88 early in the fourth, the Warriors began to suffocate a 76ers offense lacking electricity outside Curry and Maxey.
They held them to just eight points in the final 10:41 of the ball game, the Warriors again displaying an insane ability to go into full lockdown mode.
On the other end, a plethora of highlight plays invigorated the home crowd. It included the clear unsung hero of the night in Juan Toscano-Anderson, stamping arguably his best NBA game with two huge dunks and an acrobatic and-one circus layup.
What was destined to be a tight finish was anything but in the final five minutes, the Warriors piling it on to produce a margin that didn’t necessarily befit the competitive nature of the game.
The 116-96 win may have seemed comfortable in the end, but it belies the work the Warriors had to put in during an impressive second half display.
