Game Report: Golden State Warriors complete stunning 39 point turnaround to defeat 76ers
Golden State Warriors v Philadelphia 76ers: Two Key Facts
1. Nineteen
That was the lead the 76ers got out to in the second quarter, the biggest deficit the Warriors have faced this season. It was another challenge in the Warriors quest to prove their validity to the league, one they again passed with flying colors.
After Maxey and Curry had their way in the first half, the Warriors restricted Philadelphia to just 35 points in the second half. In doing so, they again pushed their defensive rating under 100 (99.7), retaining their position as the best defensive team in the league.
2. JTA’s career night
Since playing a huge role in the Warriors comeback win over the Cavaliers last week, Toscano-Anderson has rediscovered a genuine role in Steve Kerr’s rotation. An impressive last few games was punctuated with perhaps his best performance at the NBA level against Philadelphia.
He tallied 13 points on 6-6 from the floor, also recording six rebounds and six assists. More than that, he was +21 in 25 minutes with plenty of big plays coming at important times. In a long season where his role may fluctuate, you can always count on the 28 year-old providing a spark off the bench when called upon.
Now sitting at 16-2, the Warriors next take on the Portland Trail Blazers at Chase Center on Friday.
